Vernon is Managing Director of Secretts Direct (West Veg Limited) and Wallace Cafes and is a specialist in food services consultancy. He is an advisor to Westbury on business start up plans and provides sales and negotiation skills training for a vast network of sales organisations in this sector.

Vernon specialises in developing sales and negotiation skills, generating new business and building client relationships. He works with clients to increase their turnover and create logistical and strategic business plans. As a successful entrepreneur, he develops business models working with companies in the sector and is now an advisor to DEFRA (Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) and SEEDA (South East England Development Agency). He received the Government Award of “Local to London Champion” and Food Producer of the Year in 2008.

Vernon originally trained as an accountant with Beecham & Co in London and then spent 25 years in the food and catering sector. He is Managing Director of major foods supplier, Secretts Direct (West Veg Limited) and Managing Director of Wallace Cafes. He is now responsible for over 400 clients and has negotiated successful tenders for multi-million pound contracts with Barclays Capital, British Airways, Freshfields, Bank of New York, Credit Suisse, Bloomberg, Coutts, Deloittes, British Airport Authority, KPMG, Bank of England and London Stock Exchange, Royal Horticultural Society, Chelsea Football Club, Sotheby’s, Royal Household, Guards Polo Club and Wentworth Golf Club.
